HEALTHY MICROWAVE POPCORN

 

Store packages of microwave popcorn are expensive, and may have health drawbacks from the chemicals used in their manufacture.  You can make your own popcorn in the microwave using just raw popcorn kernals and a brown paper lunch bag!

Place 1/4 cup of popcorn kernals in the bottom of the brown paper bag and fold the top over three or four times.  Place the bag in the microwave on the 'popcorn' setting and listen carefully. Stop the microwave when you hear the popping slow down, so you don't burn the popcorn.  Add toppings, or enjoy plain for a healthy, fat free snack full of fiber!
